As Sweden’s birth care crisis is at its height affecting thousands of families and individuals every day, a new and targeted initiative has sprung out of the nationwide protesting. Födelsebyrån [The Birth Bureau] is Swedens first patient-advocacy group that offers new models for symmetry in provider-patient relationships, access to information, shared decision-making and social change.

Our concept for the visual identity builds on the idea of an organisation consisting of hard working parents that bring their young children to the office while they are busy changing the world. Cold facts and text heavy research are delivered in a dry and bureaucratic manner while the children get to help out in a makeshift craft way by using common office supplies to add colour and imagery to the material. Our aim is to draw attention to the volunteer’s reality while creating a striking yet simple system of organising all their communication efforts.
