Valeria Hedman / Creative Director

Valeria Hedman is an award-winning illustrator and designer known for producing strong and unique design concepts with a specific focus on user perspective. Valeria’s ambition is to develop projects that explore new forms for initiating, producing, debating and consuming art and design. Her work is widely published and she has been awarded by D&AD and Kolla!, invited to speak at the University of the Arts London and is found now and again tutoring at home and abroad. Valeria has a Masters degree from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

Apart from directing the work of Transfer Studio, Valeria runs micro publisher Elemental Editions that produce books on art and design. Valeria is the principal founder and initiator of Graphic Birdwatching, an artist-led initiative advocating gender equality in the design industry that championed a successful international debate since 2009. In her spare time Valeria can be found leading a norm critical reading group for parents at a local public library.

Falko Grentrup / Creative Director

Originally from Düsseldorf, Falko is an acclaimed designer used to producing exciting work for print, exhibitions, digital and anything else that will benefit from his distinctive graphic touch. For Falko, design is practised, refined and carefully applied and he always looks to add an extra, unexpected dimension to his work.

Awarded with a Masters in Communication Design from Central Saint Martins London, where his focus was type and language, Falko has been teaching and organising workshops at various educational institutions since 2007, most notably as a Visiting Tutor for Typographic Studies at the Arts University College at Bournemouth. His interest has lead to a selection of well received typefaces to his name as well as the initiation of a monthly meeting for type and design enthusiasts in Stockholm - Typo Stammtisch. During his 9-month long parental leave he took on exploring illustration and between naps creating the celebrated project Mostly Friendly Monsters.
